Wizz Air carries more passengers, adds new planes and destinations
Wizz Air Holdings reported a 9.3% year-on-year increase in its capacity for February on Monday, with total available seats reaching 2,548,062 during the month.

The FTSE 250 low-cost carrier said passenger numbers were 12.9% higher during the period, at 2,400,692, which made for a three percentage point increase in its load factor to 94.2%.
Looking at it on a rolling 12-month basis, capacity for the 12 months to 28 February was up 16.2% at 37,080,612, and booked passengers was up 17.8% at 34,320,882.
That made for a load factor in the year ended 28 February of 92.6%, up 1.3 percentage points year-on-year.
“In February 2019, Wizz Air continued to grow its network and improve its customer offering,” the Wizz Air board said in its statement, referring to its new routes and destinations added during the month, as well as its ongoing fleet expansion.
During February, Wizz Air announced five new routes - two in Poland, two in Ukraine, and one at Budapest.
It also added two new destinations to its network - at Castellón in Spain and Bodø in Norway.
Two new Airbus A321 aircraft were delivered to the airline in February, taking Wizz Air’s fleet to a total of 108 planes.
