The FTSE 250 firm described toob as a full fibre broadband provider, led by former Vodafone director Nick Parbutt and chaired by former Gigaclear chairman Charles McGregor.
It said the NDIF funding would support the delivery of gigabit broadband speeds to more than 100,000 premises by the end of 2021.
“The toob investment falls within the framework of International Public Partnerships’ previously-announced overall commitment of up to £45m to digital infrastructure via the National Digital Infrastructure Fund, alongside HM Treasury,” the company’s board said in its statement.
“To date, £15m of this commitment has been called by NDIF, supporting NDIF's investments.”
