The grant follows the award of another US patent, announced on 27 June, for the company's core, chemical-free graphene manufacturing process which produces GNPs with a high level of purity
G+ water-based ink's main benefit is its high degree of dispersibility in any water-based hosting formulation making the incorporation process easier. The product has applications in textiles to provide flame-retardant properties or electrical conductivity, as well as for coating applications in, for example, the production of battery electrodes.
Giulio Cesareo, founder and chief executive of Directa, said: "This grant, following on from the recent grant of patent protection for our core manufacturing process in the US, is another milestone towards launching into US markets and a further demonstration of the strength of our IP portfolio."
Directa Plus shares were up 1.80% at 85.00p at 0903 BST.
