Amazon to create 100,000 US jobs in next two years
E-commerce giant Amazon has announced that it will create 100,000 jobs in the United States by 2018.

The Seattle-based company said that the positions would be made available for people of all skill levels and experience in new fulfilment centres in California, Florida, New Jersey and Texas.
The company run headed by Jeff Bezos has grown substantially in the last five years, going from 30,000 employees in 2011 to at least 180,000 by the end of 2016.
It is also expanding into a variety of industries outside of its online shoppping site. It now offers its own line of tech hardware, as well as a new streaming service with original programming.
"Innovation is one of our guiding principles at Amazon, and it’s created hundreds of thousands of American jobs," Bezos said in a statement confirming the news.
Bezos also stressed that it was not only in the major innovation centres such as its Seattle headquarters or in Silicon Valley where they were growing.
"These jobs are not just in our Seattle headquarters or in Silicon Valley—they’re in our customer service network, fulfillment centers and other facilities in local communities throughout the country."
Amazon is the latest large US firm to commit to large scale job creation in the country, news that will please president-elect Donald Trump, who rose to power based on a pledge to bring more jobs to the country.
The company's shares are down 0.2% in premarket trading, but are up 29.3% for the past 12 months.
