FTSE 100 movers: IAG flies higher; Carnival drops on HSBC downgrade
London's FTSE 100 was up 0.6% at 7,194.73 in afternoon trade on Monday.
British Airways parent IAG flew higher as it said passenger numbers rose 0.6% on the year in September.
Vodafone was on the rise after saying that its British tests of open radio access networks (OpenRAN) technology could help the company to become a major supplier of mobile network equipment to telecom operators.
On the downside, cruise operator Carnival was weaker as HSBC cut its recommendation on the stock to 'hold' from 'buy' after the company lowered its outlook for yield growth. It also pointed to management's commentary around worsening bookings for financial year 2020, increasing capacity growth relative to its peers, and risks to the firm's share buybacks.
Just Eat was in the red after a report over the weekend that it, Deliveroo and Uber Eats host thousands of restaurants with poor hygiene ratings.
