More than 50 Brazilian politicians accused of corrupt Petrobras scheme
The Brazilian Supreme Court has been granted approval to examine allegations that a number of the country's politicians have been involved in a corrupt scheme at its state-operated oil company Petrobras.
A total of 54 people will face investigation into accusations they received payments from private companies in exchange for contracts with Petrobras.
While it has been confirmed President Dilma Rousseff has not been involved in an wrongdoing, the majority of people accused are part of the current coalition government.
The list of names includes the speakers from both chambers of Congress.
