Drax reshuffles executive board
British energy company Drax announced a series of changes to its executive board on Thursday
Senior independent director David Lindsell, who joined Drax way back in 2008, will stand down from the group on 17 April and be replaced as chair of the company's audit committee by Vanessa Simms, who joined the board in June 2018.
Tony Thorne, who joined the board in 2010 and chairs the remuneration committee, will stand down on 28 June, with Nicola Hodson set to take on the role following Drax's AGM in April.
Lastly, Tim Cobbold will also stand down from the board on 27 September 2019 having served nine years with the FTSE 250 resident and David Nussbaum will assume the role of senior independent director.
Chairman Philip Cox said: "I should like to thank David Lindsell, Tony Thorne and Tim Cobbold for their outstanding contributions to the Drax board. They have provided invaluable challenge and guidance through a period of very significant change for the Drax Group.

As of 0930 GMT, Drax shares had dipped 0.84% to 377.60p.
