Large US telecom operator expands IQGeo footprint with mobile field solution
IQGeo (AIM: IQG), a developer of geospatial productivity and collaboration software for the telecoms and utility industries, is pleased to announce that one of its existing large telecoms customers has signed a major new contract for IQGeo's mobile capabilities to support field construction activities. This enterprise license extension has a software value of c$900k and will enable access for the organisations entire field workforce.
The existing customer will deploy IQGeo's mobile software on phones and tablets with field crews to capture and optimise construction and planning processes for its FTTx network expansion activities. With thousands of employees and contractors across their organisation already using the IQGeo software every day, the new contract demonstrates how an end-to-end IQGeo solution can continue to scale up as customer requirements grow.
Richard Petti, CEO, commented that "This software expansion project with a long-standing strategic customer demonstrates our close collaboration and I am delighted to see this new deployment of our industry-leading mobile software. All too often validating construction activities in the field is a very problematic paper-based process involving maps and notebooks from field engineers and the IQGeo software is a key part of their transition to a fully digital solution. The benefits of our mobile field software in this new project will be measured in improved operational efficiency and accuracy, which will continue to reinforce our already strong working partnership."
