Landore shares surge after update on BAM East gold project
Mineral exploration group Landore Resources confirmed on Wednesday that it had discovered further zones of gold mineralisation during a drilling programme undertaken throughout the summer at its BAM East gold deposit in Canada.
Landore said it had extended step-out drilling from the centre of the inferred resource area and that mineralisation with similar lithology and grades had been encountered as far as 300 metres to the east, giving a potential resource continuity of 1.5km.
The firm said two composites weighing a total of 78kg had been forwarded to ALS Metallurgical Americas of Vancouver for preliminary assessment aimed at providing a determination of BAM's gold feed grade.
Field programmes were still underway as teams of geologists worked to identify targets for Landore's next drill campaign.
As of 1030 BST, shares had gained 15.79% to 2.20p.
