Low-cost carrier Ryanair revealed that it will open a new airport in Toulouse in October.
The new airport, which will be opened as part of Ryanair's Winter 2019 schedule, will hold two permanently based aircraft, an investment of $200m, and cover 20 routes to and from Alicante, Brest, Budapest, Lille, Luxembourg, Marseille, Oujda, Palermo, Porto, Tangier and Valencia, deliver 1m customers per year.
Chief commercial officer David O'Brien said: "We are delighted to announce a $200 million aircraft investment at Ryanair's third French base in Toulouse Airport, which will deliver 1m customers per annum, create 60 Ryanair pilot and cabin crew jobs and support 750 airport jobs."
In a separate announcement, Ryanair confirmed that it's Belgian pilots had come to a majority vote of 98% to recognise an agreement with the Belgian Cockpit Association to cover all of the airline's directly employed Pilots in Belgium.
Ryanair and BeCA were now progressing a collective labour agreement which the pair hope to conclude on or before 30 April.
"However, it is not all over. It is now up to Ryanair to establish an appropriate local management structure that will guarantee the quick implementation of these commitments," BeCa said.
Ryanair has sought to reach agreements with unions in several European nations after a number of strikes last year by cabin crew and pilots which caused it to cancel hundreds of flights.
As of 1610 GMT, Ryanair shares had flown 2.02% higher to €12.14 each.
