WPP buys US marketing technology consultancy XumaK
Advertising giant WPP said on Wednesday that its Wunderman Thompson agency has bought marketing technology consultancy XumaK for an undisclosed sum.
WPP said XumaK, which provides Adobe Experience Manager software and services, is "a recognised expert in implementing performance-driven commerce solutions".
Founded in 2004, XumaK is headquartered in Miami, Florida, with two development centres in Guatemala and Colombia. The business employs around 60 people.
WPP said the deal is in line with its strategy to deepen its technology offer and invest behind its partnerships with "leading" technology companies.
"XumaK will drive the experience technology capability for Wunderman Thompson North America," it said.
At 1005 GMT, WPP shares were up 0.1% at 968.40p.
