Weir said other shareholders should not try to attend the AGM in person as they would not be admitted due to Downing Street's compulsory "Stay At Home" measures
"Whilst the board continues to engage with shareholders in other ways, the board looks forward to returning to full shareholder engagement as soon as it can and will seek opportunities to meet with shareholders in person when it is safe to do so," said Weir.
The FTSE 250-listed group highlighted that the situation in relation to Covid-19 continued to develop and encouraged investors to monitor its website and regulatory news services for any updates.
As of 0900 BST, Weir shares were up 0.84% at 791.60p.
