Ryanair traffic jumps 5% in January
Budget airline Ryanair posted a 5% jump in January traffic on Tuesday.

Group traffic rose to 10.8m from 10.3m in January 2019, while the load factor - which gauges how full the planes are - came in at 92%.
Ryanair traffic was up 3% to 10.3m with a load factor of 92%, while Lauda passenger numbers jumped 67% to 0.5m.
On a rolling 12-month basis, traffic grew 8% to 152.9m with a 96% load factor.
At 0930 GMT, the shares were up 0.3% at €15.89.
On Monday, the budget airline said it swung back into profit in the third quarter of last year thanks to a solid performance over the festive period. In an update for the three months to the end of December 2019, Ryanair said it swung to a net profit after tax of €88m from a loss of €66m in the same period the year before, with revenue up 21% to €1.58bn and average fares up 9%.
The company pointed to better-than-expected Christmas and New Year bookings at higher fares.
