The FTSE 250 airline said that passenger numbers had risen 21.3% last month, to 3.7m, while capacity was ahead 19.7% at 3.9m. The load factor - a key industry indicator showing how full planes are - was 95.3% compared to 94.0% a year earlier.
Hungary’s Wizz Air, which specialises in Central and Eastern Europe, said it had added Zaporizhzhya in Ukraine to its route network during the month. A total of six new routes will start flying from the base from March 2020.
New plane deliveries during the month took the total fleet up to 120 aircraft.

The update came as rival low-cost carrier Ryanair announced a 5% jump in passenger numbers in October. The Irish airline said it had carried 13.8m people during the month.
