Games Workshop maintains profit growth
Games Workshop said sales and profit growth extended to the end of its financial year as the miniature wargame maker reiterated guidance for annual results.

Sales for the year to 2 June will be about £254m and pre-tax profit will be no less than £80m, the FTSE 250 company said in a trading update. The guidance indicates that profit will rise by at least 7% from £74.55m a year earlier.
Games Workshop, whose games include Warhammer and Lord of the Rings, said: "The sales and profit growth, which was discussed in the trading update released on 12 April 2019, has continued in the period to the end of the financial year. Sales growth has been across all sales channels."
Licensing royalties were about £11m and the company paid profit share bonuses to employees totalling £5m. Games Workshop paid a dividend of 35p a share on 31 May, taking the total paid in the financial year to £1.55 a share, up from £1.26 a year earlier.
