Energean production rig arrives at Karish

Energean announced on Monday that the ‘Energean Power’ floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel has arrived on location at Karish in Israel.
The FTSE 250 company said the FPSO was transported by two tugs from Sembcorp Marine's Admiralty Yard in Singapore to Israel.
It said the 5,532 nautical mile-long journey took 35 days, crossing six seas and passing through the Suez Canal.
Energean said it would immediately begin hook-up and commissioning operations, including risers and jumpers installation as well as the commissioning of the sales gas pipeline.
It expected three to four months of commissioning work before first gas, which remained on track for the third quarter of the year.
“I am delighted to confirm that the Energean Power FPSO has arrived on location in Israel,” said chief executive officer Mathios Rigas.
“This marks a major step forward in delivering first gas from Karish which remains on track for the third quarter of 2022.
“We look forward to continuing our progress through Karish first gas, the commercialisation of the newly-defined Olympus Area and contributing to energy security and competition of supply for the region.”
At 0842 BST, shares in Energean were up 2.12% at 1,351p.
