CMC Markets said the adoption of AWS would provide it with the "agility, security and resiliency" to deliver on its ambitious product development pipeline by freeing up "valuable development hours", taking its delivery time from six months to six weeks and allowing clients to benefit from faster access to its new product innovations.
The FTSE 250-listed firm stated that with a raft of new products set to be launched in 2021, the enhanced infrastructure would play "a critical role" in ensuring new and existing customers will receive the highest quality service.
Chief technology officer Brendan Foxen said: "Over the last ten years, our product offering, trades executed and volumes of data have grown considerably.
"Adopting AWS and using the highest levels of abstraction and native services allows us to develop our product offering with a far greater speed and richness of customer experience, underpinned by the scale and reliability of AWS services."
As of 0850 GMT, CMC Markets shares were up 1.18% at 387.0p.
