U.S. Gold Corp. has struck a deal to secure additional land for its CK gold project in Wyoming that allows an additional access route to cut the distance to reach the project from the pavement.
The gold explorer said Tuesday the agreement with the surrounding land-owner provides an option to lease additional land and grants right-of-way access to develop the project. Before the deal, the company said it gained access through an annual easement agreement with the local rancher, who is the main landowner to the north and east of the project.
The new route will decrease road wear, lessen dust and improve safety by decreasing traffic, U.S. Gold said.
The company said the mine development is expected to include new water resources that could eventually be used for irrigation and additional livestock watering, electrical infrastructure to power wells and pumps, and new fencing and roads to access and utilize ranchlands.
