United has roughly 550 flights scheduled with the Max in February and about 2,000 for March, reported CNBC on Thursday.
It is the second US carrier to do so after American Airlines did so in December 2020.
Both carriers have decided to resume flights after the Federal Aviation Administration lifted the grounding back in November 2020.
The grounding was prompted by two deadly crashes that were caused due to software defects in the Boeing mode.
Boeing has been working hard to correct the faults and making safety changes.
