Friday preview: US non-farm payrolls, German factory orders in focus
All eyes at the end of the week will be on the non-farm payrolls report for November to see how the US jobs market is holding up and to gauge strength over what might could be a critical few months ahead.
Consensus is for a 500,000 increase in hiring after October's 638,000 jobs gain, with a decline in government payrolls expected to account for the bulk of that slowdown.
In parallel, the unemployment rate expected to tick lower by a tenth of a percentage point to 6.8%.
The US Department of Labor is expected to release the report at 1330 GMT.
On home shores meanwhile, IHS Markit will publish its construction sector Purchasing Managers Index.
Across the Channel, the main data release of the session is expected to be the German factory orders report referencing the month of October.
