SigmaRoc intends to work with its partner Highway Care on the UK roll-out of Lindsay's Road Zipper system, which is made up of a series of T-shaped moveable barriers that are connected to form a continuous wall, used permanently on the Golden Gate Bridge and Auckland Harbour Bridge for safe traffic management during peak hours and accepted by many highways agencies, including Highways England.
The AIM-listed group said the Road Zipper system was a "natural addition" to the products offered by its wholly-owned subsidiary, Poundfield Products, complementing its patented retaining walls and expertise in delivering high-performance projects with local barrier production.
Chief executive Max Vermorken said: "This new international partnership again shows how SigmaRoc embraces innovation and partnerships; utilising our skills and assets to develop new business opportunities and revenue streams.
"We look forward to making a success of the Road Zipper System and continuing on our strategy of Invest, Improve, Integrate."
As of 0850 GMT, SigmaRoc shares had ticked up 0.096% to 41.84p.
