IMImobile and npower link up services via Apple Business Chat

IMImobile revealed on Thursday that it had inked a deal with British energy outfit Npower to become its first client on Apple Business Chat.

The AIM-listed cloud communications outfit told investors that it had linked up with Npower on Apple Business Chat in order to improve its customer experience for customers looking to switch to a smart meter.
IMImobile will provide access to its contact centre chat platform via Business Chat, to share rich media messages with customers, illustrating the benefits and installation process of switching to a smart meter.
The group's customer service agents will also be able to trigger post-chat surveys using Apple Business Chat's "list picker" functionality.
Chief executive Jay Patel, said: "Apple Business Chat offers a new and powerful way for consumers to engage with brands and we are pleased to be part of a small group of approved Apple providers supporting this phase of the rollout."

As of 0835 BST, IMImobile shares had sunk 8.69% to 286.70p amid the wider sell-off.
