The AIM-traded firm said it had accepted notice from Simon Brett, to take effect from 28 February.
“Over the coming weeks, the board will finalise its succession planning for the role of chief financial officer,” the company’s directors said in their short statement.
At 0929 GMT, shares in Barryroe Offshore Energy were down 4.3% at 3.21p.
