INDONESIAN GOVERNMENT ANNOUNCES LIFTING OF RESTRICTIONS ON PALM OIL EXPORTS
M.P.Evans Group PLC, a producer of sustainable Indonesian palm oil, notes the announcement made on 19 May by the Indonesian government to remove the palm oil export ban with effect from 23 May.
The Indonesian government introduced a temporary ban effective from 28 April. However, the Group has continued to harvest at all its estates and operations at its palm-oil mills have continued without interruption since the introduction of the ban. Some dispatches to local refiners have taken place over the last three weeks, and the Group expects a full programme of tenders and sales to resume.
The directors will continue to monitor the situation and will provide further updates if required.
