Elecosoft posted a trading statement for the year to 31 December on Friday, claiming that based on unaudited management accounts, the board expects profit before tax will be significantly ahead of market expectations. The AIM-traded company did add that was before costs associated with the acquisition of Integrated Computing and Office Networking were taken into account.

West Africa-focused diamond and gold exploration company Golden Saint Resources provided the market with operational updates on Friday, relating to two of its exploration licence areas in Sierra Leone - Baja and Tongo. The AIM-traded firm confirmed no exploration was currently being undertaken on the Moa licence due to logistical constraints.

Biome Technologies issued its pre-close trading statement for the financial year to 31 December 2016 on Friday, reporting group revenues of £4.6m, slightly behind the 2015 revenues of £4.9m. The AIM-traded company said revenues in its bioplastics division were £1.6m, a decrease of 15% on the 2015 turnover of £1.9m due to the lower levels of campaign runs in the first half of 2016.

Australian online retailer MySale Group’s half-year earnings doubled after a surge in revenues as its company base expanded. The AIM-listed company said that having increased its guidance in November, it anticipates a full year out-turn in line with projections and is confident about the second half of the year.

Marketing firm BrainJuicer said that it performed “strongly” during 2016 after two years of “modest” growth, as profit increased. For the 2016 calendar year, gross profit jumped 27%, or 15% excluding impact of exchange rates, to about £25.6m, from the previous year, due to the US business and “encouraging” recovery in continental Europe.

Shares soared in Midatech after the oncology pharmaceuticals firm said it has the potential to deliver double-digit growth in 2017 and expects to report a significant increase in revenue for 2016. The AIM-listed company expects to report revenue of £9m for the 2016 calendar year, which is higher that the £1.4m reported in 2015, largely due to its research and development pipeline of products and multiple sources of revenue.
