Clipper Logistics has won a 10-year deal to provide its services to the John Lewis Partnership.

Clipper, which provides value-added logistics and e-fulfilment services to the retail sector, said it will provide John Lewis with a range of retail support services from a new distribution centre, according to the terms agreement.

The fully listed company is in the process of selecting the final location for a new distribution centre in the Milton Keynes area to support John Lewis' new distribution centre in nearby Magna Park.

Clipper will begin activity at the distribution centre, which will provide in excess of 300,000 square feet of capacity, in mid-2016.

Shares in Clipper were up 5.3% to 170p at 15:05 on Tuesday.
