Sector movers: Mining and Industrial metals pace losses

Miners' shares paced losses on the stock market at the end of the week, with Anglo American, Antofagasta, BHP, Glencore, and Rio Tinto all ending sharply lower.

Industrial Metals and Mining shares were another drag on the market with stock of Evraz and Kaz Minerals both on the back foot after news broke that Russian opposition leader Alexander Navalny had fallen ill.

Russia-focused steel maker Evraz was near the bottom of the pile on the top-flight index, retreating by 6.02%, while that of Kaz Minerals was down by just over 2%.
