Ultra Electronics says trading remains in line

Ultra Electronics said on Wednesday trading remains broadly in line with expectations despite the challenging backdrop.

The FTSE 250 defence contractor said that since its update on 14 April, the company continues to operate effectively, with all of its facilities open.

"Consistent with that previous announcement, trading remains broadly in line with expectations and despite the challenging environment, we continue to expect 2020 to be a year of good progress for Ultra," said chairman Tony Rice.

Ultra is due to release its interim results for the six months ending 30 June 2020 on 30 July.
