Styles & Wood appoints Matt Widdall as non-executive director

Matt Widdall has been appointed non-executive director of Styles & Wood with immediate effect.

Widdall will bring experience as a director in Lloyds Banking Group's acquisition team to the role and joins as the representative of the Business Growth Fund. He trained as a chartered accountant with Deloitte, where he worked for 16 years, predominantly in the corporate finance advisory team.

"I am delighted to welcome Matt to the Group," said chief executive Tony Lenehan.

"The investment commitment from the Business Growth Fund together with Matt's direct participation at Board level provides real momentum in support of the Group's growth agenda," he added.

As of 10:15 BST, Styles & Wood was trading 6.3% higher at 135p.
