Marshalls revenues up on strong public and commercial market

Landscaping firm Marshalls’ revenue rose 11% for the six months ended 30 June 2015, the company said on Monday.

In a trading update Marshalls said revenue lifted from £180m during the same period in 2014 to £199m.

The company said public sector and commercial sales were up 15% compared with the same period last year, and Marshalls would continue to target high growth areas such as rail, new housing, water management and street furniture.

The international business grew to make up 6% of Marshall’s sales, the company reported.

Marshalls chief executive Martyn Coffey said the firm continued to invest in the further development of the Marshalls' brand across all of the Group's businesses, as well as in product innovation and service delivery initiatives.

Shares in Marshalls were down 0.23% to 318.75p on Monday at 08.27.
