Man killed after truck overturns at Acacia Mining site

Acacia Mining said on Friday that an operator at one of its mines has died.

Chacha Range, an operator for one of the company’s contractors at North Mara died when the haul truck he was driving overturned on the haul road to the Gokona deposit at around 3am.

The FTSE 250 company said there were no other injuries reported and investigations into the incident are underway.

Acacia Mining chief executive Brad Gordon said he and his management team express their sincere condolences to Range’s family and colleagues.
