Digital identity, credential management and secure mobility company Intercede announced the receipt of a “large” US federal government order totalling $4.6m on Tuesday.

The AIM-traded firm said the order, which was included within the directors' expectations for the year, included software licenses and annual support and maintenance.

It said $2.05m of it would be recognised in the financial year ending 31 March.

“In line with normal practice, a trading update will be provided as soon as possible after the completion of the financial year,” the board said in its short statement.

At 1630 BST, shares in Intercede were up 13.8% at 47p.
