Inmarsat on Friday issued a slightly embarrassing correction to its first quarter results, although the news was good in as much that its earnings were actually higher than those initially announced.

Inmarsat said basic earnings per share and diluted EPS should have read as $0.12 and $0.11, respectively, not $0.09 for both, as had been stated.

The FTSE 250 group said the figures were only wrong in its condensed consolidated interim income statement, and were are correct elsewhere in the announcement, while all other figures remain unchanged.
