Shares in Griffin Mining fell 4% on Tuesday after the company said operations at the Caijiaying mine in China have been temporarily suspended following the death of an employee.

The decision was taken pending an investigation by both the company and the Chinese authorities into the circumstances causing the death.

“Needless to say, the safety of the Caijiaying mine site is a priority for all parties concerned,” said the company.
