Natural healthcare company Rapid Nutrition has opened its first health food store in Sydney, Australia as part its previously-announced exclusive agreement with GNC Holdings to market, sell and distribute GNC products in Australia through multiple channels, it announced on Wednesday.

The Zurich and London-listed firm’s first store, ‘The Vitamin Store’ - located in the shopping district of the north western suburb of Ryde - would range Rapid Nutrition's brands including System LS and Leisa's Secret.

It would then introduce GNC's products into the store in the first quarter of its 2019 financial year.

The exclusive agreement with GNC provided Rapid Nutrition with several opportunities to expand its presence nationally and internationally, the board said, with a strategic plan being initiated to maximise revenue growth.

“We are delighted with the opening of our first store which will range GNC's products later this year,” said Rapid Nutrition chairman Simon St. Ledger.

“We are initiating a strategic plan with our partner GNC which has the potential to open up significant opportunities for both companies.

“We are excited by developments and look to the future with great confidence.”
