Games Workshop ends first half as expected

Games Workshop reported preliminary estimates indicating sales of £109m in the first six months of its 2018 financial year in a trading update on Friday, and an operating profit of £38m for the period.

The company said that over the first half, it saw sales and profit growth in all channels in constant currency terms, with momentum continuing throughout period.

“These results are in line with expectations for the year ending 3 June 2018, although the board is aware that it is still early in the 2018 financial year,” the firm’s directors said in their statement.

“We expect to announce our half-yearly report for the six months to 26 November on 9 January.”
