Shareholders at housebuilding and construction group Galliford Try are reportedly attempting to get two of its non-executive directors to be removed.

Apparently a group of investors feel directors Andrew Jenner and Ishbel Macpherson are both marred by their previous positions finance director at Serco and chairman of Speedy Hire, respectively.

According to a source spoken to by the Sunday Times, shareholders are "certainly uncomfortable with those two being on the board".

Jenner departed from Serco following the infamous tagging scandal, while Macpherson was chairing the board during an accounting fiasco involving its overseas arm, and was a board member at Game Group prior to it going into administration.
