FTSE 250 security firm G4S said on Monday that Tim Weller will succeed Himanshu Raja as chief financial officer after Raja retires from the board and steps down from the role on 1 October.

Weller will join the company from oilfield services group Petrofac, where he held the same role.

Weller – currently a non-executive director – will step down from the G4S Audit Committee with immediate effect.

Chief executive officer Ashley Almanza said: “Tim is a highly accomplished executive with extensive commercial and financial experience in global businesses. His experience and skill will be invaluable in leading our global finance team and supporting our broader transformation programme.

“It is greatly to our advantage that Tim arrives with an already deep understanding of G4S and our well established transformation programme.”
