FirstGroup nabs Essentra finance director

Transport operator FirstGroup has appointed Essentra executive Matthew Gregory to chief financial officer.

Gregory was group finance director at Essentra, and was with the company for more than a decade.

First Group said in a statement Gregory would start the CFO job from 1 December 2015. The company’s group finance director Chris Surch had announced he was leaving for personal reasons in June.

Essentra appointed its current corporate development director Stefan Schellinger to group finance director, with immediate effect.
