Domino's Pizza said on Wednesday that it has appointed interim chief financial officer Neil Smith to the role on a permanent basis.

Smith joined the company as interim CFO on 15 April, having served as CFO of Ei Group from 2011 until its recent takeover by Stonegate Pub Company.

He became permanent CFO at Domino’s with effect from Tuesday and will join the board on 16 September.

Chairman Matt Shattock said: "Neil has built upon the foundations laid by David Bauernfeind, bringing further rigour to the business and is a valued strategic partner to Dominic."
