Deltex Medical Group has secured funding from government backed organisation Innovate UK.

It has won a grant for a project to commercialise a non-invasive approach to the acquisition of blood flow information from patients.

The medical equipment producer estimates the grant is worth about £170,000 between June 2015 and completion of the project in the second half of 2016.

Deltex chief executive Ewan Phillips said the grant will help the company to meet growing demand in many countries for advanced blood flow monitoring.

Shares in Deltex were down 2.2% to 5.99p at 12:30 on Wednesday.
