Chemicals company Croda International said on Monday that group finance director Jez Maiden will retire from the group after eight years in the role.

Maiden will be succeeded by former Meggitt chief financial officer Louisa Burdett following the group's full-year results on 13 March. Burdett served four years as Meggitt's CFO before it was acquired by Parker-Hannifin in September.

Prior to joining Meggitt, Burdett held CFO positions with Optos, the Financial Times, GE Healthcare, and CHEP. She is also a non-executive director at RS Group.

Croda chair Anita Frew said: "I am delighted that we have been able to appoint Louisa as group finance director. She has an exceptional ten-year track record as a CFO of listed companies, with valuable experience both in speciality chemicals and the broader manufacturing sector. We look forward to welcoming Louisa to Croda in the New Year."
