Future’s £140m acquisition of TI Media has been cleared by the Competition and Markets Authority.

The Bristol-based magazine publisher, which announced last October that it was buying TI Media - the owner of TVTimes, Horse & Hound and Country Life - said the CMA had accepted the remedies offered and will not be referring the deal to a phase 2 investigation.

"The acquisition is therefore cleared to proceed and is expected to complete shortly," Future said.

The deal will give Future around 220 brands and create one of Europe’s largest magazine companies.
