Burberry replaces COO and CFO

British fashion brand Burberry has confirmed that Julie Brown will be taking on the role of chief operating and financial officer on 18 January 2017.

She will be taking over from the current COO John Smith, who will remain on the board until his departure from the company later this year, and CFO Carol Fairweather at that date.

The share price rose 0.38% to 1,581p at 0934 GMT on Friday.
