Property group British Land announced on Friday that a joint venture of its part-owned Hercules Unit Trust (HUT) has seen six new lettings at its Gallagher Retail Park in Cheltenham.

The Gibraltar Limited Partnership, equally owned by HUT and The Crown Estate, said that occupancy at the park has now risen to 99%.

Britsh Land increased its ownership in HUT from 41.2% to 59.8% earlier in the year.

Letting the new space at the Gallagher Retail Park are retailers Outfit (part of the Arcadia group), Homesense and Oak Furniture Land, and food and drink stores Costa, Greggs and Subway.

"These latest lettings are further proof of the attraction and success of the park. We are delighted to further improve the tenant mix to deliver an enhanced shopping experience to consumers," said James Varley, asset manager for British Land.

The park is currently undergoing a £2.5m upgrade which includes the refurbishment of terraces, landscaping and changes to the car park.

Varley said: "The upgrade is part of our wider investment programme designed to ensure that our assets continue to meet the needs of our retailers and consumers."
