Babcock expects annual result to be in line with expectations

Engineering support services group Babcock International said it expected full-year results to be in line with guidance it offered in February.

The company’s expectations have remained unchanged throughout the year. While it hasn’t offered any detailed figures, the company said it was confident of making "strong progress" compared with its last financial year.

On Monday, is hosting a seminar with analysts and investors to discuss its services business, which is part of its international division.

“We expect this to give a full breakdown of exposures to industrial sectors, major clients and currencies and […] removing some of the uncertainties that have weighed on the share price,” said analysts at Shore Capital, which reiterated their ‘buy’ rating on the stock.

Babcock shares were up 0.41% to 977.50p at 08:47.
