Stephen Pusey and Lawton Fitt have been appointed as independent non-executive directors of ARM Holdings, the microprocessor and intellectual property group said on Tuesday.

The duo will step into their new roles on 1 September, the FTSE 100 company said in a brief statement, adding that Kathleen O’Donovan will retire from her role as independent non-executive director and chair of the audit committee on 31 December.

Fitt is currently an independent non-executive director of Ciena Corporation, where she also chairs the audit committee, Carlyle Group LP and The Progressive Corporation, while Pusey left his role as chief technology officer of Vodafone late last month.

Pusey is the current non-independent director of Centrica and of FireEye.
