Computer software company Adobe is reportedly eyeing up The Foundry, a UK firm that develops visual-effects software.

According to the Sunday Telegraph, the US business is understood to be preparing a bid for the firm, which was put on the market by current owners Carlyle towards the end of last year.

The nearly two-decade old firm is said to be seeking an offer in the region of £150-200m, having acquired it in 2011 for around £75m.

The newspaper said Adobe is believed to be interested in the The Foundry because of the potential to use its products for business purposes.
