Investment giant Abrdn will allegedly axe a number of roles in its multi-asset team, just a matter of weeks after the departure of its Global Absolute Return Strategy's head.

According to the Financial Times, at least 27 team members will be offered voluntary redundancy as part of a strategic review of the firm's multi-asset range.

Abrdn initiated a review into its multi-asset range after Aymeric Forest, the head of the team running its GARS fund, left the FTSE 100-listed group back in February.

As of 1030 BST, Abrdn shares were up just 0.049% at 202.70p.
