Apple has been forced to slow output due to the global shortage of components which has wreaked havoc in the tech and automotive industries.

According to a report published on Thursday by Nikkei Asia, the tech giant’s production of certain Macbook and iPad models have been affected.

The company has been forced to postpone manufacturing with Macbook production struggling to secure enough semiconductor chips and the iPad assembly line experiencing a shortage of display components.

Apple had managed to avoid the impact of the global component shortage until now, thanks to its size and market power.
